Washington’s Crossing — July 4th Celebration
Washington’s Crossing Historic Park
July 4, 2023 10:00pm – 4:00 pm

Event Announcement: https://wordpress.com/post/colonialbrewer.com/54489

Volunteer Sign-up: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/volunteering/7ff92cbb-be49-4a78-817c-8063ef7b46b5

In the market we will gather in the Historic Village and sell our wares,  soldiers will drill 18th-century military tactics, the park’s fife and drum corps will perform, and I will be running my Colonial Tavern and brewery.

This is your opportunity to be part of the program.  I need brewer’s apprentices.  Come help us set up our camp, brew the beer, and greet the guest. All volunteers will be given copious quantities of Spruce Beer (if you bring a growler, you can event take some home.) There will also be lots of downtime for you to enjoy all the other activities of the day.

Even if you don’t choose to volunteer, come enjoy the wide array of activities including crafts, cooking demonstrations, and, of course, SPRUCE BEER.  www.washingtoncrossingpark.org

My goal is to bring history alive through interactive portrayal of ordinary American life in the late 18th Century (1750—1799) My persona are: Journeyman Brewer; Cordwainer (leather tradesman but not cobbler), Statesman and Orator; Chandler (candle and soap maker); Gentleman Scientist; and, Soldier in either the British Regular Army, the Centennial Army, or one of the various Militia. Let me help you experience history 1st hand!
