You might not like Dick Cheney but he is a REAL AMERICAN!
First off, Dick Cheney is perhaps one of America’s most stanch conservative leaders. He is a powerful advocate for America’s military and has fought most of his professional life for things like a balanced budget, reduced government spending, and the rule of law. Dick Cheney also knows a lot about Terrorists and the threat they pose to Western democracies. After all, he was the Vice President who helped organize the response to the September 11, 2001 attacks. So, when Dick Cheney says he’s voting for Harris in November and Trump ‘can never be trusted with power again,’ it’s wise to listen to what he has to say.
Donald Trump and his minions[i] ARE TERRORIST and they are trying to destroy America!
Former Vice President Dick Cheney said Friday (9/6/24) that he will vote for Democrat Kamala Harris and not for the Republican nominee Donald Trump in the November election, warning that the former president “can never be trusted with power again.”
“In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump,” Cheney said in a statement. “He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He can never be trusted with power again.” “As citizens, we each have a duty to put country above partisanship to defend our Constitution. That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris,” he concluded. Cheney’s daughter, former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, made similar proclamations.
So, there you have it. When REAL REPUBLICANS refuse to support Donald Trump, we are left to assume that those that don’t aren’t representing the values and ETHICS of the Party of Lincoln. When REAL AMERICANS like Liz and Dick Cheney are warning us not to vote for Donald Trump. You better listen. This is not a causal decision. These people have devoted their entire lives to pushing the conservative political agenda.
Dick Cheney went on to characterize Trump as a “threat to our republic” and a “coward” who uses “lies and violence to keep himself in power.” Liz Cheney later remarked that Trump and Vance were “doing everything they can to drive Reagan Republicans away” and that the duo “certainly do not reflect the importance of that Reagan philosophy of peace through strength and a strong national defense.”
Now understand, neither Liz nor Dick are changing their political affiliation or positions on the future of America. Cheney said while she has “serious policy disagreements on a whole range of issues.” This issue transcends politics and speaks to the need of every American to wake up and THINK about who they are voting for and why. Are you in favor of a strong CONSTITUTIONAL America that stands for its democratic ideals or do you vote for someone who wants to undo policies you don’t like. Sometimes, you let the opposition win an election so that you can save the country.

Remember, Elections only come periodically. We will get past this one and EVENTUALLY, back to normal. In the meantime, relax, have a beer, and remember that true patriots VOTE their conscience not what they are told to vote!
