When reenacting or acting as a historical interpreter, its good to have a few historical dates and stories to share. This series will publish a few.

May 17, 1792 – Goods, loans and future livestock began to be traded under a buttonwood tree on Wall Street in New York City.  This daily meeting would eventually become the New York Stock Exchange.
