Today’s news presents a struggle for those of us with patriotic leanings. On the one hand, our country has a proud history and on this July 4th we celebrated the highest ideals of our great nation. On the other, many patriots are marching on the streets to remind us that high ideals without high moral character mean NOTHING! It is incumbent on all Americans to not just espouse and celebrate the ideals of others but to embrace and live by those ideals.

Of course this has been a struggle from day one. The ideal of “All MEN are created equal…” was not true in 1776. Many of our best citizens were discounted and mistreated. Many continue to be mistreated. BUT we can correct the errors of the past.

If you watched the video, you saw a true patriot. Not one who blames for the tragedies of the past but one who seeks to create a future where we learn from those mistakes and live by our highest ideals.

My goal is to bring history alive through interactive portrayal of ordinary American life in the late 18th Century (1750—1799) My persona are: Journeyman Brewer; Cordwainer (leather tradesman but not cobbler), Statesman and Orator; Chandler (candle and soap maker); Gentleman Scientist; and, Soldier in either the British Regular Army, the Centennial Army, or one of the various Militia. Let me help you experience history 1st hand!
