When reenacting or acting as a historical interpreter, its good to have a few historical dates and stories to share. This series will publish a few.

October 17, 1777:  BATTLE OF SARATOGA:  General John Burgoyne surrendered his entire army (5700 men) to Horatio Gates.  This victory would be pivotal in convincing the French, Dutch, and Spanish to recognize American Independence and support the Revolution.
