It feels like awakening from a bad dream to see the early morning twilight…  I had this nightmare.  America had elected a REALITY TV SHOW host to be president.  Someone who had failed as a businessman and took his circus act to television then used that ringside act to take over and systematically destroy everything that was good about our country.  Thank god it was a dream.

Seriously, I watched Donald Trump slink away and was reminded of ole “Tricky Dicky” climbing onboard Marine One to fly off into obscurity.

Then the sun came out and we saw a REAL president emerge.  In 1974 it was a reluctant Vice President whose soft-spoken nature hid his resolve to make things right, even if for just a little while.  Today it was a sleeping giant who has finally had enough of the chaos and stepped back into the fray to remind us, remonstrate us for forgetting, who we really are.

God Bless America and God Bless the President of the United States!

My hope is for four years of BORING government! No daily intrigues.
