Battle at Chadds Ford

10:00am – 5:00pm

The Chadds Ford Historical Society will be hosting a battle for the Battle fo Brandywine at the Barns Brinton House on September 11, 2021. There will be both military reenactment as well as living history presentations. Join us for a historical journey back to September 11th 1777 when the British army engaged Washington’s troops at Chads’ Ford.  Three timed skirmishes will take place throughout the day.  Additionally, reenactors, camp followers, demonstrators and other  historians will be on site including yours truly as BOTH a loyal member of HM 43rd Rgmt of Foot and as the Regimental Brewmeister brewing a batch of Spruce Ale for the army.  Come help us create a few barrels of “liquid courage” for the troops.
