Yesterday’s Class was Small but Engaged

Randell Spackman and I ran our Colonial Brewing class at Thornbury Farms which is on the actual Brandywine Battlefield yesterday. We had on 8 students so everyone got to enjoy some good Spruce Beer and try their hands at brewing in the Colonial Manner. It was a real hands on experience.

If you missed this opportunity, our next brewing class will be at Fort Mifflin on January 22.

My goal is to bring history alive through interactive portrayal of ordinary American life in the late 18th Century (1750—1799) My persona are: Journeyman Brewer; Cordwainer (leather tradesman but not cobbler), Statesman and Orator; Chandler (candle and soap maker); Gentleman Scientist; and, Soldier in either the British Regular Army, the Centennial Army, or one of the various Militia. Let me help you experience history 1st hand!
